Charles — I’ve gone through phases, too. Now, I’m just one big U.N. of alternative music. Everyone’s welcome in my eardrums.The cool thing about punk (which also happens to be the terrible thing about punk) is the accessibility. Energy supersedes talent, which makes for some crappy music at times, but also makes for some of the most devoted performers.
I went through a phase where I wouldn’t listen to punk at all. Only metal. I think I missed out on some pretty good music, although I still think a lot of punk stuff kind of sucks.
Like a paint company’s high-end retail product: “New, Lux Interior for your home’s walls. Comes in glossy, very glossy, and slip-n-slide. (Not Intended for Use around Children)”

The only props I can give Smashing Pumpkins is Billy Corgan’s dare-to-be-Uncle-Fester look. That took balls.

LMAO at Lana ! I’m sorry, that was in bad taste…. The Smashing Pumpkins DO actually kick ass from seldom time to time, though….

I don’t know the guy, unfortunately, but his name reminds me of interior house paint for some reason.
