Sad to say, it seems my monitor is on the brink of–if not already toppled into the chasm of–death. So, until further notice, I’ll be noticably absent. I can still get emails on my cell (and obviously can type very painful short posts on its teeny, tiny screen). I’m hoping this matter can be resolved quickly and with little pain, but I’m not holding out too much hope for this eight year-old machine.
Great. Now my eyes are crossed.

I also have an 8 year old that should be pensioned off, but it has too many great programmes in it to just hurl it over the shoulder, so even though I have a lovely widescreen laptop which I am using now I keep limping along with the old one and will tilthe dreaded black screen of death arrives many years down the track, I hope. Hope yours is back working well again.

Everyone– Thanks for the well-wishes. Unfortunately, the monitor had to go to Jesus (as they say around these parts). Thanks to my sinister (yet helpful) friend, X, I’ll be back online with a borrowed monitor after Thanksgiving, then in January, we’ll be purchasing a new iMac. Poorly timed death, but I can’t complain about a seven-year-old computer finally biting it.

A few days ago, I was just thinking how great it would be to text you randomly, but decided my random texting is due to me never cheeking the time of day (night), and I really can’t afford any more enemies… however, it would be nice to say hi once in a while when you disappear like this. Hope to see you back soon. I’m holding out hopes for a new laptop soon. I’m always having to kick my kids off the computer so my time is limited at best even with a functioning computer. I couldn’t begin to do the phone thing– which is just as well. I need a life occasionally.
